" Puccini apartment is composed of a living room with one double bed and one double sofa bed, 1 bedroom with bunk bed, one bathroom with shower/tube and 1 kitchen.
Many tourist books refer to Váci Utca (where I also have some apartments and I'm very happy to have) as the centre of Budapest, and it seems that the rest is not in the centre. So, does it mean that the Parliament is not in the centre? And St. Stephen's church? And the Opera House? The centre of Budapest includes Váci Utca, the area along the river Danube, but it includes also Andrássy Avenue, passing through Saint Stephen's Church, the Opera Theatre, till Oktogon Square: the 24h square.Everything here, and only here in Budapest, around Oktogon Square, is open 24h: supermarkets, fast food, restaurants, internet points and also a solarium. Here you find people always, during the day, but also during the night.
An image of Oktogon during the busiest hours, is the image I bring with me when I stay out of Budapest: hundreds of people crossing the streets in Oktogon Square, beneath shops, cross lights, trams, buses, metro, and everything happens in an astonish silence. A similar silence is in this apartment. This old building with its fresh court and its big walls, when the door is closed, it keeps out all the city noises, as an enchantment.
